WOIMA, a Finnish supplier of best-in-class waste-to-value products worldwide, is seeking a motivated Mechanical and Piping Design Engineer to join their engineering team. In this role, you will contribute to cutting-edge projects in the renewable energy sector, playing a key role in mechanical and piping design for modular power plant solutions.

What will you be doing?

In this role, you'll take charge of Mechanical and Piping engineering activities, guiding and coordinating efforts across internal and subcontracted design teams. Your expertise will be crucial in developing designs and technical documentation to ensure high-quality engineering deliverables. The role can be customized to align with your unique expertise and specialized competencies.

More specifically, your key tasks will include:

- Developing and executing layout, mechanical and piping design tasks

- Coordinating design work across various teams and suppliers

- Ensuring technical compliance in design projects

- Producing engineering deliverables according to project requirements

- Taking ownership of design drawings, specifications and technical documentation

- Engaging with customers and partners on engineering matters

We require you to have:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Plant, Piping, Process or Energy Engineering

- Previous experience in mechanical and/or piping design, preferably within an industrial or power plant context

- Understanding of the principles and dimensioning of various process systems and equipment

- Project experience, including working on complex engineering projects with multiple stakeholders

- Advanced skills with CAD programs such as AutoCAD Plant 3D and Inventor

- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English and Finnish

Practicalities:

This is a full-time and permanent position. You will be employed directly to WOIMA. Start time in the role is according to the agreement as soon as possible. The role will be located in Vaasa, and we hope you are able to work at the office at least three days per week as part of a hybrid model. Salary in this position is 3400-4000 €/month (gross) depending on the level of your experience, and will be negotiated individually.
