Welcome to SeAMK, new international students!

More than a hundred students in a big auditorium.

Studies for our new international students had a smooth start with Orientation Days this week. Both degree students and exchange students have enjoyed exceptionally warm weather, met people around the world and familiarised themselves with the university environment and valuable support services.

Orientation days provide the information and resources students need to start their academic journey successfully, offering a great opportunity to meet new people, learn about the campus, and make themselves at home in Seinäjoki where students were welcomed to SeAMK by the Mayor of Seinäjoki, Mr. Jaakko Kiiskilä. During the first days they have already met staff from International Education Services, Student Services, representatives of the Student Union SAMO, University Chaplain, Study Psychologist, and personnel from Student Health Care Services.

Nursing students Dela and Olga say that they are excited to experience student life in Finland and that they are looking for to meet new people.

“My advice to new students is to stay open and maintain positive attitude”, Olga says.
