Practical learning from the Business Administration’s Virtual Enterprise Fair
The virtual enterprises of this academic year’s Business Administration degree programme at SeAMK are currently presenting their activities at the Virtual Enterprise Fair.
– The fair day of the Virtual Enterprise Fair is today, and the fair is about to start. The students have done an excellent job with their fair plans and were eagerly involved in the setup, says Senior Lecturer Kristiina Mutka-Vierula at the beginning of the fair.
Senior Lecturers Merja Juppo and Kristiina Mutka-Vierula are eagerly awaiting the start of the Virtual Enterprise Fair.
At the Virtual Enterprise Fair, around 50 companies, consisting of first-year students from SeAMK’s Business Administration and International Business degree programmes, are showcasing their activities.
– Here students learn how to prepare for a fair, create a fair plan, design and build an exhibition booth, sell at the booth, and provide customer service at the booth. Additionally, they practice post-fair activities, remarks Senior Lecturer Merja Juppo.

SeAMK’s Business Administration students establish virtual enterprises at the beginning of their first year of study. Business operations are simulated realistically, although no real money is involved, and there are no actual products or services offered. This method is a practical way to learn about business and entrepreneurship. Several teachers from SeAMK are involved in the virtual enterprise activities, which continue throughout the first academic year.
The event is ongoing today, 28 January 2025, at Frami F’s Lasipalatsi (F144) until 14.30.
