HäjySec brought together those interested in information security and cybersecurity at SeAMK

The HäjySec meetup was held on 11 March 2025 at the Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences. The theme of the event was information security and cybersecurity, with expert presentations from Juho Lappalainen, Mika Lindberg, and Tuuli Siiskonen.
– It’s great to have HäjySec back at SeAMK and to support a volunteer event that shares interesting information for anyone interested in cybersecurity from a white hat hacker’s perspective, says Tero Hakola, Manager of Digital Services at SeAMK.
Mika Lindberg’s theme was “Business Email Compromise – Views from the Small Business”.
Juho Lappalainen discussed the topic “Reframing offensive security tooling development”. Offensive security tooling development is just software development from a different perspective. He highlighted how offensive security tooling development aligns with traditional software engineering and discussed how hacking is fundamentally about creativity and thinking outside the box.
Tuuli Siiskonen’s topic was “Liar, Liar – Detecting Stuxnet-like data integrity attacks”. The topic discussed the detecting of Stuxnet-like attacks by predicting based on datasets from various data sources without a common data model.
The English-language event was held at Frami F building in Seinäjoki.
