The work of a public health nurse is meaningful. At SeAMK, we make it possible to learn knowledge and skills, the students bring their will and personality to develop into a health care professional. As a public health nurse, one does important work to help people of different ages take care of their health.
The work is varied, demanding and independent, but the nurse also cooperates with other professional groups. In this job, one’s interpersonal and interaction skills are really important. The own personality is an important tool when working with different clients and their families.
You can also complete your nursing (RN) studies as an international degree. At SeAMK, this is possible in the Bachelor of Health Care, Nursing degree programme. You complete your studies mostly in English, although the applicants are required to have basic Finnish skills (level A2).
