At SeAMK, we make it possible to learn knowledge and skills, the students bring their will and personality to develop into a health care professional. One will learn to plan, implement, evaluate and develop health-promoting, disease-preventing and healing and rehabilitative nursing work. The education meets the requirements of the European Union Directive (2013/55/EU) on the recognition of professional qualifications.
The nursing profession is a meaningful profession that requires independent and responsible decision-making ability based on the researched knowledge and skill base of the field. The profession requires interpersonal and interaction skills. One’s own personality is an important tool when working with clients of different ages, their loved ones and a multi-professional team to promote health. In this education, one’s knowledge and skills accumulate through theory, practice and own professional growth.
A nurse is a sought-after workforce. Nursing education at SeAMK enables one to find employment in the Finnish, but also in the international labour market. The education enables one to work as a nurse in EU countries.
You can also complete your nursing (RN) studies as an international degree. At SeAMK, this is possible in the Bachelor of Health Care, Nursing degree programme. You complete your studies mostly in English, although the applicants are required to have basic Finnish skills (level A2).
