Application process timeline for exchange and double degree students

Nomination from home institution

SeAMK has an online application system called SoleMove for all exchange and double degree applications. Please don’t send applications by email.

1) Contact the International Coordinator or International Office at your home institution.

They will contact SeAMK on your behalf and nominate you to study at SeAMK. They will assist you with the application process and the documentation required for your application. Please read the SeAMK specific application instructions and requirements before starting the application process.

2) Nomination of student(s) completed by the sending/home institution

The sending/home institution staff member (international office or other named contact person) will nominate their student candidates
by 15 April for the next autumn semester and
by 15 October for the next spring semester
via this Webropol form:

SeAMK Mobility Nomination (Webropol form)

The nomination form asks for the following information:

  • sending institution’s information
  • contact person information (international office or other staff member, who nominates the student, as the contact person for the mobility)
  • student’s information (name, date of birth, email, etc.)
  • field and level of studies and current study year at the home institution during the time of application
  • exchange programme at SeAMK (required to be relevant for the study background of the applicant)
  • planned duration of the programme at SeAMK (one or two semesters)
  • information if the student is nominated for a double degree programme (only if valid double degree agreement exists between SeAMK and the sending institution)

An applicant is required to select course(s) or programme relevant to his or her major study.
Regarding the Bachelor-level programmes, the courses are designed for students on their 2nd or 3rd year of studies.

Each exchange student follows one exchange or double degree programme at SeAMK. The student must be nominated to that specific programme by the home institution.

Apply using SoleMove

After nomination, you will get information to your email on how to apply online via the ‘SoleMove’ system. Please follow the instructions on the email. (if you did not get this email please check your spam mail).  SoleMove is normally opened for the nominated students approximately one month before the application time ends. SoleMove access is only available for nominated students (after receiving email instructions and logging in via the email link): SoleMove

Submit your application in SoleMove by 15th of May for studies starting in the autumn semester and by 15 November for the spring semester. All the application documents will be handled according to the GDPR regulations.

There are two types of applications. Applications for studies and application for practical training. You will need a Learning Agreement for the application. If the sending institution uses a digital or online Learning Agreement, those are preferred. If not, then a pdf Learning Agreement added in the Enclosures section of the SoleMove application is accepted.

Normally students initiate the Learning Agreement document together with the home institution, with their instructions either on their platform or their template. In case your home university does not provide you with a template, you can find empty templates below this section.
Please read the relevant instructions below:

1) Application for studies

Application for studies include student exchanges, double degree studies, and combination exchanges, which mean practical training and studies combined. Fill in the right application form in SoleMove. Please submit the following documents with your application:

    • Learning Agreement (LA) for Studies
A normal workload per semester is 25-30 ECTS credits and 30 ECTS for double degree students. Please follow more specific instructions related to choosing the courses on the programme website –> course offering list for relevant semester. Also please note: course changes to the original Learning Agreement can only be made for good reasons after the exchange period has started. Digital or online Learning Agreement is preferred. The student will find the confirmation of SeAMK Coordinator on the digital/online Learning Agreement after receiving acceptance information. If you need to use a traditional document form Learning Agreement, it needs to be confirmed or signed by the student and home institution, before downloading it on the application form as a pdf file. SeAMK coordinator will then sign the Learning Agreement pdf and the student can find the signed version on the SoleMove Enclosures section after acceptance information email.
