Operating methods and principles

The mission of Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences is to increase competence, competitiveness and well-being.

All of SEAMK’s activities are based on our values, which are entrepreneurial spirit, internationalisation, SEAMK spirit and responsibility.

We do meaningful work with other experts and future creators. The SEAMK spirit is one of SEAMK’s values. We value each other, we care about each other, and we act openly and interactively. We encourage each other and value competence and entrepreneurial spirit.

The framework of the quality system of SEAMK is the PDCA model, which can be characterised as a classical method of problem solution and circular learning. The quality system of SEAMK has received approval and a quality label in an international audit organised by FINEEC in ​​2016 and 2022.

With the measures stated in the equality and non-discrimination plan, Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences aims to promote equality, diversity and well-being in the on our work and study community.

We are also committed to promoting equality and an open and respectful atmosphere. We follow the principles of a safer space in all our activities. With the principles of a safer space, we strive to create an equal and open place for everyone to learn and work.
