We are HEROES – a European University Alliance

SEAMK is a proud member of the HEROES Alliance – a transnational alliance of nine professional higher education institutions from Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Portugal, Sweden, and the Czech Republic. Together the institutions reach 120,000 students and 14,000 employees from different corners of the EU, from the associate degree to the PhD level, covering all disciplines and sectors with a distinct applied sciences perspective. 

HEROES is on a mission to strengthen the smart regional resilience of people, businesses and nature through providing high-quality professional education to students and lifelong learners, fostering practice-oriented scientific research, and maximising collaboration opportunities between stakeholders. 

The alliance includes a new joint educational offer at bachelor, master and doctoral level with a strong link to practice, a challenge-based learning programme, a practice-oriented scientific research hub and flexible learning opportunities and a wide range of alternative learning pathways for working professionals.
